Just wanted to let you know that my aspargus has finally poked through the compost on my lasagna bed. The compopst didn't break down as much as I thought it should but I dug a shallow trench, added some well rotted compost, and planted the roots. The stalks coming up are very thin but I was just exited to see they came through OK. I am also trying some potatoes in another section of my lasagna bed. Will keep you updated on the progress as I promised.
God Bless. Happy Herb

Way to go Herb....good to see you still get excited when the plants poke there heads up.
My grandson (7) planted his first seed garden and his reasoning for some of his plants not
sprouting was because he figured that they prefered to 'snuggle down in the dirt' cause they
thought it was too cold to come up yet ![]()
